InshaAllah we will complete 30 days of the blessed month of Ramadan and celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Aug 8 2013. On behalf of Islamic Center of Irving, we wish you all a very happy Eid Mubarak. May Allah accept your Siyaam, Qiyaam, Ibaadaat (worship) and your charity including all the good deeds that you performed during Ramadan. May Allah give us all taufeeq and ability to carry this same zeal and momentum throughout the year. Enjoy this blessed day with your family and friends.

Also, PLEASE make duaa for the Muslims who are suffering throughout the world and always say Alhamdulillah for all that you have.

There will be TWO prayers for Eid, first one at 7:30AM and second one at 9:30AM.

First prayer will be held at 7:30am sharp and will be led by Imam Zia Sheikh

Second prayer will be held at 9:30am sharp and will be led by Imam Yaser Birjas

Here are the details of the Eid-Day celebrations:

1. Your Arrival

Arrive early. Attendance will be higher and therefore parking tighter. Arriving
early will allow you to avoid traffic and find a convenient space. Please car-pool.

      • Villas of Andalus Homes – Phase I
      • Villas of Andalus Homes – Phase II
      • Tuscany Estates Townhomes
      • Rainier street parking
    • Parking Guidelines
      • Police Escorts and ICI volunteers will be on hand to direct traffic and parking. Please follow their instructions.
      • Please maintain a speed limit of 5 mph to avoid any accidents
      • Police will give out tickets to those violating traffic laws
      • Please carpool if possible
    • Dress yourself well depending on weather situation

2. Before Prayer

    • Everyone is encouraged to chant or remain quiet until the prayer begins. Please refrain from socializing in the prayer area during this time.
    • Chant: 

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha illallahu
Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa lillahil Hamd

Translation: Allah is the greatest, He is the Greatest. There is no God except Allah.
He is the Greatest. All praises and thanks are for Him.

    • Brothers with children should proceed to the children’s room next to the main hall to make space for other brothers to enjoy a quieter environment.
    • Please try to sit closer to the first row so as to make room for those arriving late
    • Women without children and girls aged ten and older should proceed to the east prayer hall upstairs to make space for other sisters and to enjoy a quieter environment.
    • Sisters are required to park strollers in Room 210. If your baby starts crying, please return to this room until they are calm, so others can listen and pray.
    • Brothers are required to park their strollers in the curved shoe area next to Imam’s office.

3. Eid Prayers

  • Eid Prayers will be held at 7:30am sharp and 9:30am sharp
  • Prayer Instructions (If Imam announces Twelve Takbeers)
    • Stand with heels on the line, shoulder to shoulder, leaving no gaps
    • Imam says takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and begins prayer. Everyone should begin reading the opening du’a Subhanakallah humma... to the end.
    • Imam says takbeer (Allahu Akbar) 7 times, raising his hands to ears at each takbeer; followers do the same.
    • Prayer continues as normal until BEGINNING of second rakat. Then the Imam says takbeer 5 times, raising his hands each time; followers do the same. Salaat continues as normal
    • Salaat finishes as normal
    • Khutbah is given by the Imam. Everyone must listen quietly
  • Prayer Instructions (If Imam announces Six Takbeers)
    • Stand with heels on the line and shoulder to shoulder, leaving no gaps.
    • Imam says takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and begins prayer. Everyone should begin reading the opening du’a Subhanakallah humma... to the end.
    • Imam says takbeer (Allahu Akbar) 3 times, raising his hands to ears at each takbeer; followers do the same.
    • Prayer continues as normal until END of recitation in the second rakaat.
    • Then the imam says takbeer 3 times, raising his hands each time and lowering; followers do the same. At the fourth takbeer, Imam goes into ruku; everyone follows.
    • Prayer finishes as normal
    • Khutbah is given by the Imam. Everyone must listen quietly
  • Please remain seated and quiet during the Khutbah so as not to disturb others.
  • Be sure to carefully exit the prayer hall after the conclusion of the prayer and khutbah. Supervise your children at all times.
  • If coming for the first prayer, please exit the building as soon as possible so as to smoothly allow those coming for the 2nd prayer to enter the building.

 

4. After Khutbah - Celebration Activities

  • Light refreshments for Brothers and Sisters will be available inside the tent outside
  • Toys for children will be available for sale at a very nominal cost. Proceeds will help with the operations of the masjid.
  • Goodies like balloons and candies will be distributed free of cost
  • Please form lines for refreshments and toys
  • Please be patient with the volunteers and follow their instructions
  • Cleanliness is a requirement. Please throw all non-paper trash in the trash cans.
  • Please do your part to keep the house of Allah SWT clean.
  • Eid holiday exempt letters for children missing school for Eid holiday will be available in the ICI office
